Privacy Policy: What Happens Now

Overview

What Happens Now, LLC ("WHN") has created this Privacy Policy to demonstrate our commitment to the privacy of our users and subscribers. It discloses information gathering and dissemination practices for WHN's website, whathappensnow.com (the "Site"). WHN may change, add to, or remove all or any portion of its policy at any time, but if we do so, we will post such changes on this page.

We may collect certain personal information from you to help customize Site content or otherwise enhance your experience; to prepopulate certain forms or other requests; or in some cases to gather and review user information and demographics, or to provide you with new features, services or products we think you might be interested in. You will always have the ability to opt out of e-mail solicitations (See the Opt Out section of this policy).

Subscriber Security

Subscribers are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their ID and password. WHN will not intentionally share a subscriber's ID or password with any third party (we will email a subscriber the subscriber's ID or password upon request, but only to the subscriber's preidentified email address). Subscribers are responsible for updating their e-mail address, and for notifying WHN of any known or suspected unauthorized use(s) of the subscriber's ID, or any known or suspected breach of security, including loss, theft, or unauthorized disclosure of the subscriber's ID or password.

Use of IP Addresses

We use your internet service provider's or web e-mail IP address to help diagnose problems with our server; to administer various features of our Site; and to gather broad demographic information such as the name of your Internet service provider and its geographic location.

"Cookie" Use

WHN uses "Cookies" (a small data file transferred by a website to your computer's memory or hard drive) when you use our Site; order subscriptions for Services; or make other purchases or respond to requests for personalized information. Accepting the cookies used on the Site does not give us access to your personal information, but we may use cookies to identify your computer. Cookies are typically classified as either "session" cookies or "permanent" cookies.

"Session" cookies do not stay on your computer after you leave the Site or close your browser. Temporary cookies serve to identify the user during each individual visit to the site ("session") and are temporarily stored in the user's browser throughout the course of each individual session. They are used to facilitate online transactions, personalization and registration services. For example, cookies can keep track of what you have selected to order as you continue to use the Site, and allow you to enter your password only once on any Site pages where a login is required.

"Permanent" cookies are those that remain on your computer. These cookies are used for internal reporting and statistical purposes. This information is gathered at an aggregate level and no individual user or computer is identified. WHN does not and will not use cookies to retrieve data from your hard drive or to obtain your e-mail address or other personal information. The aggregate information collected permits us to analyze Site traffic patterns, which can enable us over time to provide a better user experience by improving content or personalization and making it easier to use. "Permanent" cookies can be manually removed by the user.

In the future, we may use cookies to display random advertising and/or for Site personalization and marketing (by allowing us to recommend products that will hopefully be of interest to you). If we do, we will post appropriate information on this page.

Most browsers automatically accept cookies by default, but you can usually refuse cookies or selectively accept certain cookies by adjusting the preferences in your browser. If you turn off cookies, there may be some features of the Site that will not be available to you and some Site pages may not display properly.

"Cookies" do not pose a threat to your computer, your web browser or software installed on your system. They do not contain viruses, and the information provided is not used beyond the general administration our ad management software.

Information gathered through the use of "cookies" is stored in limited access services and is subject to other reasonable means to protect it. Such information not sold or provided to vendors, direct mail concerns, email list services, etc.

WHN does not and cannot control the use of "cookies" by sites linked to the Site or to vendor(s) sites that have purchased banner advertisements. WHN is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such sites.
